Supporting Our Community

At Eilkaer Group, we believe that strong businesses help build strong communities. We are committed to supporting local initiatives that foster connection, activity, and cultural engagement.

We proudly support:

  • Local youth football teams, including Suså IF U11 and Ringsted IF U13, helping young players develop teamwork, confidence, and a sense of belonging
     

  • Film Club Oskar in Glumsø, a community-driven cinema initiative that provides affordable, family-friendly movie experiences and strengthens local cultural life
     

Through these partnerships, we aim to contribute to a vibrant and inclusive community where people of all ages can thrive.

Social Responsibility in Action

We actively collaborate with Næstved Municipality to create meaningful social impact:

  • Providing employment opportunities for Ukrainian refugees, supporting their integration and helping them establish a stable life in Denmark
     

  • Being nominated in both 2024 and 2025 for the Social Award in recognition of our commitment to inclusion and social responsibility
     

  • Participating in sustainability networks through Ressource City
     

  • Contributing to the development of Denmark’s national climate charter in collaboration with public authorities

Environmental Responsibility (ESG)

Although we are not legally required to publish an ESG report, we take responsibility for understanding and managing our environmental impact.

We monitor and assess our:

  • Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions from fuel consumption such as diesel and gasoline)
     

  • Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions from electricity and heating, including wood pellets)
     

This provides us with a clear foundation for reducing our environmental footprint and improving operational efficiency.

 

Contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Our work aligns particularly with:

SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
We support the transition toward more sustainable industry by promoting resource efficiency, cleaner technologies, and environmentally responsible processes.
 

SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
A core part of our business is helping industrial companies reduce, reuse, and recycle waste. This significantly lowers CO₂ emissions, especially by reducing transportation needs for waste disposal.

Circular Solutions for Critical Resources

We are committed to advancing circular economy solutions. One example is our work with phosphorus recovery:

​

  • We recover phosphorus from sewage sludge ash using only electricity and water, with no harmful emissions
     

  • Phosphorus is an essential and limited resource, primarily imported from a few regions globally
     

  • By recovering it locally, we reduce dependency on imports and create a more sustainable supply chain
     

This process also addresses a major environmental challenge: while wastewater sludge contains valuable nutrients, it cannot be used directly due to contaminants. Our solution enables safe recovery while eliminating hazardous substances.
