In Clean Resources, we support the circular economy by increasing the recycling of valuable materials and nutrients from waste. All the waste streams we handle undergo a thorough analysis, and using newly developed processes, valuable materials are created from the waste.

Environmental Responsibility (ESG)
Although we are not legally required to publish an ESG report, we take responsibility for understanding and managing our environmental impact.
We monitor and assess our:

Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions from electricity and heating, including wood pellets)

A core part of our business is helping industrial companies reduce, reuse, and recycle waste. This significantly lowers CO₂ emissions, especially by reducing transportation needs for waste disposal.
Circular Solutions for Critical Resources
We are committed to advancing circular economy solutions. One example is our work with phosphorus recovery:

We recover phosphorus from sewage sludge ash using only electricity and water, with no harmful emissions

Phosphorus is an essential and limited resource, primarily imported from a few regions globally
-
By recovering it locally, we reduce dependency on imports and create a more sustainable supply chain
This process also addresses a major environmental challenge: while wastewater sludge contains valuable nutrients, it cannot be used directly due to contaminants. Our solution enables safe recovery while eliminating hazardous substances.
